Travel, Vintage Clothes, Cruising….

As some of you may know, Mike & Mary no longer work full-time, but we don’t like to use the word “retired” – we are staying busy!  We really enjoy spending time with family, especially our grandchildren; spending time with friends; exercising and staying active; and dancing, and teaching dancing.

Of course one of the advantages of no longer working a full-time job is that one has the time to do some traveling.  The primary purpose of this travel is rest, relaxation, and exploring; and sometimes we wear our vintage clothes, and maybe mix in a bit of dancing!  Below is some info from Mike & Mary’s latest travel and adventures, with the most recent first.

o September 2025:  Key West and Key Largo, FL.  During our Caribbean Cruise, we went on a couple of snorkeling excursions and really enjoyed those.  So we decided to take a trip to Key West, FL to check out that area and do some scuba diving.

We had great weather for that Sep. 24-28, 2025 trip, even though the timeframe for the trip was in the middle of “hurricane season”.

o  From May 16th – 23rd, 2025, Mike and Mary were once again back on the beautiful ocean liner the  Queen Mary 2 (QM2) to make our second transatlantic crossing from Southampton, England to New York.

We once again flew into London and spent our pre-cruise time exploring that great city.

Overall, another fun trip and crossing.  Click here for more info on that cruise.

From November 20th – December 3rd, 2024, we were once again fortunate to be onboard the Queen Mary 2 (QM2), this time visiting the lesser Antilles Islands in the eastern Caribbean.  This was not a vintage cruise (although we did book the cruise through Tom Pecena at Ahoy Vintage Cruises).  We really enjoyed this cruise!  Click here for more info on that cruise.

o  From July 14th – 21st, 2023, Mike and Mary were fortune to make a transatlantic crossing from Southampton, England to New York on the Queen Mary 2 (QM2).  The QM2 is the Cunard Line’s flagship, and is one of the few ocean liners in service capable of a transoceanic crossing.  We booked the cruise through Ahoy Vintage Cruises, and were a part of a group of about 60 people that are vintage clothes enthusiasts.  Overall, a fun trip.  Click here for more info on that cruise.
